Life skills education: preparing students for the real world
At Rosmini Hybrid Education Hub, academic learning through MVA is complemented by holistic, in-person experiences designed to nurture every aspect of a pupil’s development — intellectual, emotional, physical, and creative. Rosmini Hybrid students develop independence, resilience, and adaptability which are skills that matter most beyond school. We are preparing today’s learners for tomorrow’s world.
Our sessions
Weekly sessions at The Arc Community Hub in Loughborough promote wellbeing, personal progression and the development of life skills. They offer opportunities for supervised study, collaboration, and enrichment activities, such as sports sessions, music, assemblies, yoga, games, art, and cooking. There are opportunities for mini projects and events such as debating competitions, research and presentations, plays and experiments. There are lessons about emotional development and health as well as life skills workshops — from managing money to applying for jobs. Rosmini Hybrid students experience and apply self-paced learning, personal mentoring and real-world preparation. This encourages confidence, creativity and character.
Supporting your child
Qualified staff work closely with pupils to identify learning gaps, liaise with MVA teachers, and ensure that every child receives the right level of challenge and support. Initially, the hub operates each Friday, with plans to expand to a two-day provision (Thursday and Friday) as enrolment grows.
With this support, independence grows. This is because the structure of hybrid learning encourages students to manage their time effectively, plan their learning, and develop self discipline, which gives them future ready skills. Students learn to control and understand their own schedule with the hub on hand to guide, advise and support.
Rosmini Hybrid Education Hub is a student workplace. It replicates an office to help towards a smoother transition from student to employee. Expectations are understood and pupils learn where reasonable adjustments may be required for them. This helps them to grow in confidence and manage themselves maturely.
Embracing technology
Trends like AI-powered personalisation and “learning on the go” have enhanced the long term potential of hybrid models for accessibility and efficiency. Whilst advancements in technology, including AI and virtual/augmented reality, are making hybrid learning more engaging. Rosmini Hybrid is an attractive educational option because of this and is creating a more versatile and efficient future workforce.
According to research from the University of Oxford, the widespread use of online and hybrid tools during the pandemic has increased familiarity and acceptance among both students and parents. This has also been the case for workers and employees. This shift to more homeworking and online meetings is mirrored at Rosmini Hybrid Education Hub so that future generations are ready and prepared for adult life.
