Why some children need a different approach….
At Rosmini Hybrid Education Hub we aim to support students who don’t fit into traditional school models and help them to thrive in a way that suits them.
This is because we are built for the “lost middle” — those pupils who are overlooked by mainstream or SEN schools. These students are not at the very top or bottom of the ability range, but their needs and potential are often overlooked in traditional schools.
Many face challenges such as anxiety, neurodiversity, dyslexia, or bullying, leaving them disengaged or even unable to attend. Since the pandemic, emotionally related school absence has risen by 68%, with nearly one in four children persistently absent from school. For these young people, the hybrid model offers a lifeline: structure and social connection without overwhelming pressure.
Rosmini Hybrid provides individualised care, inclusion, and a nurturing environment for students who need a more personal, balanced approach. No child is lost in the middle and every learner finds their place.
Supporting Neurodivergent Students
Neurodiverse students, in particular, can benefit from the flexibility and support of a hybrid approach. Studies show that neurodivergent students—such as those with ADHD, autism, or dyslexia—often experience higher cognitive load in traditional online learning environments, but hybrid models that combine online and in-person support can help mitigate these challenges.
Can Hybrid Education Aid Mental Health?
Mental health has become the largest known reason for families choosing home education, with the number of families citing mental health issues rising by 64% from 7,281 in 2022 to 11,960 in 2023. Hybrid models provide a nurturing, small-group environment that reduces the risk of overwhelm or social isolation, making them ideal for children who struggle in traditional school settings.

We are adaptable to diverse needs: Our model can be a way to support students with behavioural or mental health challenges by allowing them to re-engage with learning in a less overwhelming environment.
